A few weeks ago, Facebook has unveiled on Instagram, a new service called Direct Instagram!
Direct Instagram is a simple way to share a photo or a video with friends, family, or other circles of specific knowledge in real time. on IOS and Android in the latest 5.0 version of the application, against Windows Phone users will wait.
Instagram has 150 million monthly active users, 55 million photos posted by day, 1.2 billion of likes and 1.6 billion of shared photos.

If the new feature is of course welcome, but it remains a "simple" answer to the competition. In fact, Twitter has just allowed to send photos via private message, while the specialist instant sharing, Snapchat, never ceases to surf his sudden success, especially the resounding giant Facebook has broken teeth on start-up.
Direct Instagram not intended, however, to become a copy of Snapchat. There is of course no question for the network owned by Facebook, delete the contents sent after reading. Direct and Instagram does not seem cut out for becoming an independent service, as well as Kevin Systrom assured that no publicity was provided in these exchanges.
Remains to be seen if Instagram Direct manage to get a place between Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat.
